Ammonia is a key ingredient in all liquid latex. Anyone who is sensitive to ammonia, or is allergic
to ammonia, sulfur, and/or latex products, or has known skin or respiratory allerigies should avoid use or prolonged contact
with liquid latex. If you have had contact with a latex glove or condom with no adverse reaction, then the odds are
great that you will have no problem using liquid latex.
Open
your bottle of
Gorify Zombie Latex in a well ventilated area. Allow the jar to "breathe" for 10-15 minutes before applying to your skin and
face. Apply a quarter sized test patch to the back of your hand and remove when dry. If a irritation or rash develops,
discontinue use immediately. For external use only. Avoid eye contact. Do not apply to mucus membranes
or genitals.
Use great caution when applying latex around your eyes and nostrils.
The ammonia fumes may make you tear up, like when you cut an onion. If this occurs, take a break and get some fresh
air while allowing the latex to dry. When you are ready, come back and add more latex. The more you work with
liquid latex, the more you will get used to the cold feeling, fumes, and tightness of dried latex.
Liquid latex will shrink by 3% across the surface area after it dries. This provides a tight
"second skin" feeling and fantastic FX. Dried latex will stick to itself, so avoid touching coated areas together
until the latex has been cured with Gorify Latex Sealant. Mistakes will happen. Be patient and accept it as part
of your artistic process.
Using a hair dryer will greatly speed up the curing
process and helps when applying multiple layers of latex. It can also help to dissipate ammonia fumes.
Liquid latex will bond to body hair. Gorify suggests shaving and using moisturizer before applying
liquid latex to your skin. Latex remover is included in yourGorify Cleanup Pack to help remove stubborn latex that may
have accidentally been applied to hair. Gently message Gorify Latex Remover into the skin around the area and work latex
loose with a fine tooth comb.
Liquid latex will permanently stain and bond fibers
like cloth and carpet, but will lift easily off smooth surfaces. Apply your latex while standing on tile or linoleum
surafaces. If you must work on carpet or pourous surfaces, use a plastic drop cloth to protect your floor and furniture.
Wear clothing that you do not care about staining.
