Horror FX are a great way to learn to use (a.k.a. mortician's wax), because scarring and rotting flesh should look messy and wrinkled. Be patient and keep practicing, and soon you will discover your own creative ways to use this product.  See our "How to Make a Zombie Bite" tutorial for step-by-step beginner instructions.  We will be adding intermediate and advanced zombie wax tutorials in the future.

Gorify opened our zombie makeup store today!  Now we want to hear from you.  We will be uploading new content weekly to bring you everything you need to know to do your own special FX horror makeup. 

We hope our professional FX makeup artist colleagues will not be angry that we are revealing secrets, but we believe knowledge should be free.

We know new producers need to keep costs down AND make their work stand out.  Not every one can afford to pay the per diem for a professional FX makeup artist.  That does not mean that indy horror movies can only have bad FX.  It takes more than blackened eyes and smeared, home-made, red-dyed, corn syrup blood to create a believable gross out.

Don't even get us started about CGI. We'll save that for another blog, another day.
